Public Petition committee
Public Petitions Committee has been established under the Standing Orders 96. It consists of the members of all parties and independent groups represent the provincial council with a no. of 15 members. The chairman of the committee is appointed by the Chairman of the council. The petitions addressed to the Chairman of the council with the recommendation of the council member is first discussed in the consultative committee on functions and if it is a matter related to the provincial council the decision is given in the committee and committee inserted in the agenda of the council and table it.
Activities
Activities
01. The committee may if it deems necessary request a provincial minister to report on the petition.
02. When the reports are received all the relevant parties are called to the public petition committee and submit the relevant recommendations with the agreement of all to relevant parties.
03. After the recommendations are tabled the relevant parties are informed with the recommendations.
04. Getting feedbacks about the implementations of the recommendations given.
05. If the given recommendations are not followed, there are research by the committee.
